Farm Raised False Percula Clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris
Great companion for the greater seahorses!
The movie “Finding Nemo” has made this cute little orange fish the most popular aquarium fish of all time!! They are easy to keep, easy to feed, easy to breed, hardy, durable and healthy! They do not require an anemone to keep as they will make their home about anywhere! Do best in twos… just like seahorses!!
Clownfish are protandrous hermphrodites which means they can exhibit sex reversal from males to females. The female is larger than the male and the pair will stay close to each other. Mated pairs spawn about 200 eggs every 10-14 days. The eggs will be laid on a flat surface and will hatch in 7-10 days.
Very good eaters. We recommend the frozen mysis enhanced with vibrance with an occasional live food treat such as enriched adult brine shrimp or Hawaiian red volcanic shrimp.
Size ¾ inch -1.5 inches. Can attain lengths of up to 3.5 inches.
Age 6-8 months
