Pete, thank you for the wealth of information. Just past the snout of the male there is a bone that is sticking out all the time. With the other seahorses it occasionally goes in and out sometimes when breathing. Not sure if this is a mechanical problem or an effect of something else. I would like to forward you a picture of the male. How do I go about doing that ?
