It sounds like you’re a very conscientious aquarist and that you already have a pretty good handle on things. That’s an excellent quarantine protocol you follow, and target feeding your gluttonous scooter blenny will be great practice for maintaining seahorses in a community tank.
Yes, sir — a dragonface pipefish would make a great substitute for the purple tang in the proposed lineup for your seahorse tank.
