Dear Donna:
Excellent! It sounds like all of your seahorses arrived in great shape so I’m certain that they will handle the acclimation procedure with flying colors and be happily settling into their new homes before you know it!
I have to say that your seahorses are magnificent specimens — as fine as I have ever seen, and that’s saying a great deal! The Mustangs are beautifully marked, many with the pronounced "snakeskin" saddles that are so striking and extravagant lines that are so characteristic of the nicest Hippocampus erectus, and with lots of rich russet background colors to add to their attractiveness. The Sunbursts are all showing their sunset colors with shades of bright yellow and gold. And they are all obviously very well fed and in vibrant good health. Outstanding! I can see why you hated to give them up and why their new owner is so thrilled to have them! Here’s hoping that the move turns out to be the best thing for both of you!
Best of luck with the upcoming move to Connecticut, Donna! Let us know when you’re settled in up there in the Northeast and we will help you get your tanks up and running again with new specimens when the time is right.
Respectfully,
Pete Giwojna
