Wow, This is all great info Pete and I thank you for taking the time to educate me. Luckily most of the corals I have been looking at are SPS, fan worms and Polyps so the lighting system I originally decided upon may be overkill. As much as I would love the LED system, I would have a lot of explaining to do with the Mrs. when she asks how much it cost :laugh: I was doing a little research and I came up with:
AquaticLife™ 36 Inch Compact Fluorescent Lamps with 4 Lunar LED`s
Lamps Included:
* (1) 34" CF 96W 460/460 Lamps
* (1) 34" CF 96W 700+ Lamps
* (4) 1W Lunar LED`s
I will remove the urchin and the fast swimming territorial neon dottyback I have. I have actually had this tank set up for a year, but when I decided I wanted seahorses I re-arranged and changed a few things to make it a better habitat suited to their needs. My liverock is completely clean and I have never had issues with bristle worms, mantis shrimp or any other pest (thank god). I do have a few small emerald crabs, but they are more interested in scraps and algae than live fish.
