Dear Jeff:
Thanks for the update! It’s very encouraging to hear that your Sunburst stallion responded to the Diamox treatments very well and that his pouch is now back to normal.
Yes, sir, of course there is nothing you can do to circumvent a problem like this, or to assure prompt treatment, when you happen to be away from home traveling. And Murphy’s Law assures that situations like this are bound to arise when one is nowhere in the vicinity in order to address the problem.
At any rate, Jeff, it sounds like you did a fine job of administering the Diamox and hopefully that will assure that your stallion’s buoyancy problems and pouch bloat are now a thing of the past. Just be sure to look over the gas bubble disease prevention suggestions that we discussed in your earlier post so that you can determine that there are no conditions in your seahorse tank conducive to the formation of gas emboli or gas supersaturation issues and you should be back on the right track again.
Best wishes with all your fishes, sir!
Respectfully,
Pete Giwojna
