How long have you had him??? I always had trouble keeping my scooter blenny’s alive. Sweetlips would eat and eat pretty good, but always seemed to have a caved in tummy.
I told my LFS that I never have luck with mine, eventhough they eat, they seemed to starve to death….
He said try this and gave me some blood worms. I was surpised because I thought blood worms weren’t the best for salt water tanks. He said to watch the water and take out any remaining… Well, the fish go gaga over it. Sweet lips will even come swim up to the worms before they even hit bottom. His tummy is always rounded and full now. This one has even grown since I have him.
I never have to worry about the remains becuase the fish clean everything up and the hermit crabs too. My water has great values and I’ve been feeding them for about two months now.
I asked the LFS why mine had been starving up until now eventhough I have alot of pods in my tank and he was eating the shrimp…He said that they weren’t full enough with nutrition…. the blood worms he gave me were enriched….
