Dear hold your horses:
Okay, great! If you’re new arrivals are Mustangs or Sunbursts (Hippocampus erectus), then you can be very confident that they will begin chowing down on the frozen Mysis as soon as they settle in and are feeling more comfortable in their new surroundings.
Providing they were acclimated properly, they should thrive. Let me know right away if either of the newcomers are showing any clear symptoms of shipping stress (respiratory distress or rapid labored breathing, or lethargy and disorientation), but otherwise, it’s just a matter of being patient and providing them with a stress-free environment until they begin to feel at home in your aquarium.
Target feed them with the enriched frozen Mysis once they have settled down, and as soon as they begin to associate your baster or a feeding wand with their gourmet goodies, it will be very easy to lead them to your feeding station and train them to take their meals there.
Best wishes with all your fishes, hold your horses!
Happy Trails!
