I figured the bacteria is the filter would make it so the tank was already safe for fish. So it put in the seahorses with caution. I’m going to monitor the ammonia and test it twice daily. They seem a lot happier in the new tank than in a small refugium in the large reef. They ate only about an hour after they were added. But im on my toes right now. I have to leave town on friday for 3 or 4 days. If the ammonia desides to do the opposite of what I expect im in a pickle. The people tending the animals are not exactly marinebiologests. All they are doing is put the premeasured chunk of food and put it in the tank. But I could get the guys from the LFS to care for them and test the water. Ugh! I always leave at the WORST times for my aquariums. Like one time my redi male had a relapse of tail rot and I had to leave for a week but the care taker had NOOO idea what to do. He held on for a long time but died 3 days before I got back, and the worst part was the care taker did not know what to do when he died so she LEFT HIM IN THE TANK!!!! I’ll never call her again to care for my pets thats for sure.
