I asked Carol about the discrepancy with the listings for Hippocampus barbouri and she said it was due to a housekeeping problem on the website — the old listing for H. barbouri should have been removed when the current listing and adjusted price was put up. The Spikey (H. barbouri) listing for a price of $175 is correct, the other listing for $125 is outdated and scheduled to be removed as soon as possible.
Also, she mentioned that they are currently out of H. barbouri and won’t have more until the next crop of juveniles matures. So keep an eye on that situation and make inquiries as to their availability before you actually place an order.
Best of luck with all of your seahorses, Carrie! Here’s hoping things warm up a bit soon (we hit 33° below zero last night here in northern Minnesota).
