Congratulations on the fry you have that are doing well.
Yes indeed you can do something to discourage breeding. You can manipulate environmental conditions. Try shortening the photo period and lowering the temp a bit. Increasing the surface tension with a pump return directed across the surface, so the water really ripples, this will make an egg transfer less likely.
You do not have to raise the fry. I know several folks who do not. Instead of culling them you could offer them to other hobbyists who might like a chance at raising fry.
