I have a seahorse baby picture that people have been describing as \"magical\" and I would love for OR to use it or possibly put it in the gallery. The reason I\’m asking here instead of emailing OR is because I asked an unrelated question (about H. Barbouri) a couple of weeks ago and still have not recieved a response.

I can’t speak for Carol or Craig, but I do know Ocean Rider is always interested in good seahorse pictures and I can’t imagine that they would not want to include an outstanding baby picture in the photo gallery!
If you like, I would be happy to forward your inquiry directly to Craig and Carol on your behalf so you can be sure it has come to their attention. I’m betting they would be delighted to use your picture, Carrie.
However, you might want to hold off a bit until the next photo contest. Ocean Rider periodically runs a photo contest that’s free of charge and open to all, and many of the pictures in the photo gallery and that appear periodically on the website are past photo contest winners. An exceptional baby seahorse picture would have a lot of appeal for such a contest, so you might want to reserve it as an entry for when the time is right, Carrie. It might be a prize winner, in which case it would automatically go up on the site and be included in the photo gallery. I don’t have any idea when the next photo contest might be coming up, but they have been held pretty regularly in the past…
Otherwise, just let me know and I would be happy to contact Carol and Craig about the picture for you. Heck, there’s no reason I can see why it couldn’t be included in the photo gallery now and then be entered in the next photo contest too. There are no rules that would preclude that to my knowledge.
Anyway, Carrie, please do follow up with your photo one way or the other — now that you’ve piqued our interest, I’m sure everyone would love to get a look at it, myself included first and foremost!
Best of luck with your seahorses and your aquarium photography, Carrie!
Happy Trails!
