I was reading a post and saw something about a book that Pete Giwogna mentioned, possibly wrote. I want to find a comprehensive book about Seahorse Care. Can you suggest one and where I can purchase it?
Thanks,

My new book (Complete Guide to the Greater Seahorses in the Aquarium, TFH Publications) has still not been released and won’t be available for some time yet. Fully illustrated, the unabridged version of the new book will be 400-500 pages in length, and it is crammed cover to cover with the latest information and cutting-edge techniques and technology for keeping, breeding and raising the various species of seahorses that are now available to the home hobbyist. It is certainly far and away the most comprehensive book about seahorses that has ever been written, but there are a few other guidebooks available right now that are worth your time..
I would say the most useful of these is "How to care for your Seahorses in the Marine Aquarium A Stable Environment For your Seahorse Stable" by Tracy Warland. Either of Neil Garrick-Maidment’s two latest books, Seahorses: Conservation & Care or the Practical Fish-Keeper’s Guide to Seahorses would also be good choices. And "Seahorses: Complete Pet Owner’s Manual" by Frank Indiviglio is another worthwhile book for someone new to seahorses. Although these are fairly cursory guides, rather than in-depth discussions on the care and keeping of seahorses, they make a good starting point for the newcomer. If you only get one of these books, I would recommend How to Care for Your Seahorses in the Marine Aquarium by Tracy Warland. You can order all of these books online from Jim Forshey at the Aquatic Bookshop (http://www.seahorses.com/index.shtm) or from Amazon.com and the other major booksellers.
Best wishes with all of your fishes, Barbara!
Happy Trails!
