I love to see how other set up their tanks and love all the pictures that are posted here.

I\’d also like to share and show my tank, but have trouble photographing the tank.

When I use the flash the photo\’s don\’t turn out that great and without it either….

Can someone give me a few tips how I can take photo\’s of my tank?

I have the canon powershot digital camera.

They don\’t have to be professional looking photo\’s, but at least be able to recognize the fish in the tank, instead of a blur….

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi Trulyshy,

Make sure the glass is spottless.

When you aim your camera at th tank you need to aim it at an angle pointing slightly downward. This will keep the flash from bouncing off the glass which is what happens when you point the camera directly at the tank. Turning off any other lights in the room which may be causing reflections on the glass should help Also wearing something dark will help reduce the reflections.

    HTH,

    Thank you Leslie,

I will try this. I also just played around with the shutter speed so I wouldn’t need a flash.

It was working fine, but need the tripod to stabalize the picture. I’ll try some and if I get any good ones I’ll post them.
