    Hi Pete

I visited the facility a few weeks back and i was amazed.  I have been in and out of the hobby for my entire life, I currently do not own a tank.  After seeing how the hobby has changed in the 7 years since i owned my last tank i am considering getting a new tank.  I am particularly impressed with the breath of variety of tank raised fish.  If and when i get back in, i will only stock tank break fish in my aquarium.  Was wondering if you are available for new tank design / set up?  I am in southern CA.

    Thank you

    Mark

    Dear Mark:

Well, sir, I’m not in the aquarium servicing and maintenance business so I cannot make an on-site visit and help you to install a superior aquarium system, but I can do the next best thing, Mark.

I would be happy to enroll you in the Ocean Rider Seahorse Training Program and help you to find the perfect aquarium system for your needs and interests after you have carefully read through the training manual, sir.

And you’re right about how far the hobby has advanced in recent years, sir. It is indeed quite possible to set up a new aquarium system and stock it completely with compatible fish and invertebrates which have all been born and raised in captivity or aquacultured for aquarium use. This includes a wide variety of seahorses, red banded pipefish, Banggai Cardinals, colorful clownfish, Mandarin dragonets, live corals of all kinds, and decorative cleaner shrimp, to mention just a few examples. In general, you will find these cultured or tank-bred specimens to be much hardier and less demanding than wild-caught specimens.

If these will be your first seahorses, Mark, then I would recommend that you read through the Ocean Rider Seahorse Training Program beforehand to assure that you will be well prepared to give your ponies the best possible care when they arrive. The training course is completely free of charge and I would be happy to send you the complete training manual in PDF format as an attachment to an e-mail so that you can download it, save it on your computer, and then read through the material at your leisure from the comfort of your own home.

The training manual is quite comprehensive, consisting of several hundred pages of text and more than 250 full color illustrations, and it will teach you everything you need to know in order to keep seahorses successfully in a home aquarium. It will explain how to optimize your aquarium to create an ideal habitat for the ponies.

If you would like to examine the free manual for the training program, just send me a brief reply to that effect via e-mail, and I will send you a copy in return. (The seahorse training program is a correspondence course that is conducted entirely via e-mail, so we must first establish e-mail communication before we can proceed with the training.)

You can reach me anytime at the following e-mail address:

Best wishes with all your fishes, Mark!

    Happy Trails!
