    Hello!

I\’m wondering if I\’m doing the best for my Pixies, and I\’ve noticed that some people will let their Brine grow to 24 hours and then enrich them before feeding. Would they then be too big for Pixies to eat? Are they just as well off eating the freshly hatched brine? And what about fry? If I\’m going to have a brood (I realize it might only be 2 or 3 babies) would the enriched be way too large for them? Also, if enriching is best, what do I enrich with?

    Thanks in advance!

    Carrie,

    Excellent questions!

24 hour and 48 hr. old brine are not to big for Dwarves. Some people feel there dwarves are happier, healthier and more active on enriched brine verses newly hatched brine. Newly hatched brine starts losing it’s nutritional value after a few hours, as they grow ad use up there egg sac. Basically, letting the brine grow a bit and then adding enrichment via gutloading the BBS you know exactly what nutrition you dwarves are getting. SOme of the more popular product’s for enriching BBS is, Kent Zoe, Zoecon, Vita Chem, Selcon, Vitamin C, Kent garlic extreme, DT’s, Naturose and Or’s Vibrance1.

As I have not had any dwarve babies, yet, I do not know if the enriched brine would be to big for them or not.

    HTH
    Kris
