Dear Nigel:
No, I don’t believe Ocean Rider is working with pipefish at this time or has any plans to do so in the foreseeable future. Pipefish in general are more delicate than seahorses in the aquarium and many species of pipes are very difficult to wean onto frozen foods.
However, OR does raise quite a number of other reef fish at their high health aquaculture facility. Three of these species, in particular, make good tankmates for seahorses:
False Percula clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)
Banggai Cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni)
Orchid Dottyback (Pseudochromis fridmani)
All are passive fish that make good companions for seahorses, and as high-health fishes, they can be added to your seahorse tank without fear that you might be introducing pathogens or parasites along with your new additions.
Best of luck with your seahorses, sir!
Happy Trails!
