I just ordered my Striped Shrimpfish off of Liveaquaria.com. He should be here by Saturday. Once I get it I\’ll tell you all about it. I heard somewhere that they get along with seahorses. If this one goes well then I might get a second one. These are the guys that swim upside down! Ever since I saw one at the Georgia Aquarium I\’ve been determined to get one. By the way did you hear about the Whale Shark and the Beluga that died there? Very sad. I guess thats what they get for putting four of the largest fish in the world into one tank.
January 19, 2007 at 1:40 am #3310carrieincoloradoGuestThe Shrimpfish sounds really interesting, let us know how it goes! Do you a plan on feeding him until he gets settled?
January 19, 2007 at 6:08 am #3315nigelseahorseGuestI plan on feeding him live brine for a while then attempt to wean him onto mysis. He’s WC 🙁 . Oh, and today I picked up my seahorses from the LFS. They are acctually kudas not reidis. But the are TR and they are about 1 1/2 inches tall so they make the Mustangs look like Godzilla. but I’m mad because they only got in females and last time I told them to reserve a pair which was the only male seahorse I had ever seen at the store, but they sold it. Well im looking forward to getting my shrimpfish on Saturday. I already thought of a name for him, Beeker. You know like that thing from the Muppets with the really high voice.

I wonder, is he big enough to eat ghost shrimp? I read of place that breeds saltwater ghost shrimp for feeders, do you want me to find the site? Good luck with him, and your new horses! I’m green!:)
January 20, 2007 at 7:47 am #3320nigelseahorseGuestWell he came today instead of tomorrow. He is the weirdest and most exotic creature I have ever owned! He is about 3inches tall, has a black stripe down the middle and has red fins and snout. I actually laughed at it when I pulled it out of the bag because it was so funny looking. If you will tell me how I can send pics.
