ihad a H. erectus once she did fine for so long i even had her in with a regal tang, and tomato clown, and an anemone without much trouble but we had some hermits ,when i got them they were tiny but they grew to about 2in .when i came home one day i saw a hermit strangling my poor seahorse .the seahorse died i got rid of the hermits .later i figered out the same thing happened to a lionfish at our local aquaruim store
Sorry to hear about your seahorse.
Seahorses should only be kept with small and micro hermits. They should not be kept with an anemone, Regal Tang or Tomato Clown.
